The explanation is coming, I swear! This page is one of my narrative techniques, which is to insert a short scene to separate two larger scenes. But it's not filler, certainly. It's another piece of the puzzle about Xis'veki's plan and what the girls are up against, and maybe a key to their victory.
The last few weeks have been a victory for my willpower. I finished Mass Effect 2 without it impacting on Nahast's schedule! It's an incredible game and I got very emotionally involved with the plot, and I was actually upset and choked up when two NPCs got killed during the last mission. Went back, chose better, and got the No Man Left Behind achievement, which made my Paragon heart very warm and fuzzy.
I'm even working on fanart, which is something I never do. I wanted to try a new art technique and Mass Effect fanart sounded like the perfect opportunity. I don't have much to show yet (Nahast did have priority), but I will link to my DeviantArt gallery when I put it there.
