When a shaman and his spirit guide become involved, things get (sur)real.
I almost didn't make it! (the update, I mean). But here it is. When it got past midnight, I kind of entered a zen state and things started coming together at the last minute. I'm pretty satisfied how it turned out, especially Thunder. I'd been curious to see how he'd end up looking like with the new tricks I've learned about coloring. On other things, I've been catching up with reading DC comics, just before the entire universe gets a kick in the editorial pants. I had drifted away from superhero comics a long time ago, but getting to work on Green Ronin's DC Adventures role-playing game got me back into the habit. I had to research characters for Heroes & Villains Vol. 1, and that meant tracking down, borrowing and... otherwise acquiring several titles. With that new knowledge, I became to rue the treatment that some characters were receiving, particularly a handful of awesome female characters. Namely Cassandra Cain (Batgirl) and Stephanie Brown (Spoiler, then Batgirl). I kind of saw the relationship between Cass and Steph resembling the relationship between Behari and Niriko.
On that superhero front, I did a couple of things to get back into the habit of drawing and coloring. For those who don't follow me on Tweeter, I coughed up:
A redesign of Raven's costume (Teen Titans).
A redesign of Starfire's costume (also Teen Titans.
A picture of Catwoman's costume as it will appear worn by Anne Hathaway in Dark Knight Rises, on request by the owner of the DC Women Kicking Ass tumblr.
A team up I would like to see in the new DC universe.
And with that... I'm off to get some sleep!
