Lo and behold! An update!
I've never been so busy and/or distracted. Maybe unmotivated, or art-blocked, or dead-tired from dayjob-busy, but hardly busy enough during my Nahast-times that my work on the update crawled to a near stop.
But here it is, and I have four other pages already pencilled, and I'm trying a new shading technique based on stuff I've learned during the aforementioned busy. I stopped using a couple of shading tricks that amounted to gimmicks and instead did the work more naturally, and a little simpler. Working on the commissions for Wastex Games helped me loosen up a bit on the shadowing brushwork, and allowed me to zero in on a stile I wanted for Nahast.
I still have a lot of things to do... one of which is the widget you see to the right, for I have volunteered to do a short comic for the Japan Needs Heroes effort, and I'm starting to do some more work in the illustration field, so my plate is really, really full this year. Still! The updates are there, waiting to be worked on and at least I'll do one more for my quickly approaching birthday :)
