Behari's acquaintance starts revealing his motives.
Update at last. Summer has gone as I feared: full of work. I've had to work weekends a couple of times, which sucks, and my freelancing deadline loomed. At least I was able to keep this interruption from becoming a full month.
This week I delivered my assignment for Green Ronin; seven character stats and writeups for the Heroes & Villains Vol.2, so once more I got to put official RPG numbers to DC characters. This batch was very interesting. I got more major characters, including a member of Flash's Rogues gallery, one of Superman's iconic foes, and one major plotwise villain who recently returned from the dead. I also asked for and received Raven, from the Teen Titans, one of my favorite comics characters. Behari's angst and anger owes a bit to Raven, but just a bit; for all her painful history, Behari still can't hold a candle against Raven in the "I have a really dark background" department.
While last week I didn't have the DC superheroes taking my time, dayjob was still intense, and as I tweeted then, I opted for finishing writing and storyboarding the scene to get back into gear. It's done, and it has a couple of awesome moments if I say so myself. Teaser!
Eruhien: What... was that?
Gisako: That was us being royally screwed.
